Where Nature Meets Culture—Plus Wildfire, Dogs, Environmental News, and Writing with a Southern Rockies Perspective.
One of my favorite memories is watching a 'yote methodically work a grassed over old logging road and its verge for mice and gophers. He finally got to within twenty yards or so and then, before I could blink, the head looming large in the binos was a fluffy tail and he was galloping out of there. I always get a kick out of watching coyotes hunting mice.
