I've gotten through several...Interesting story. I've gotten through several close calls with western diamondbacks and a couple with cottonmouths. I can't shake the feeling that my time is coming. Maggie, my old German shorthair, has been nailed four times by copperheads. She barely swelled the last time, and now seems determined to kill every copperhead she encounters. Timber rattlers are abundant on my stomping ground in the Red River Area in northeast Texas, but, unlike western diamondbacks, are very retiring - thank goodness. I rarely see one.
