Mountain Snow Pack, February 1, 2014
Snow levels in central and northern Colorado are good (I can attest to that after last weekend's trip). Sierra Nevada and Cascade ranges still way low.
No-Cal, the Cascades, northern Nevada and to a lesser degree the northern Sierras have picked up some since the 1st, but could definitely use a lot more. The southern Sierras are looking really grim. The snowiest they've been this season was back in October. The one piece of very slightly good news is that they are a trifle above 1977, the worst year on record.

Yeesh! I'm glad we have good snow, but the salad bowl of the US is going to a dust bowl short of a miracle, or the jetstream dipping again.
