Ha! But where is the straight scavenging? That's about 90% of what we do when we winter stateside.
Last year, when the Forest Service cut back trees along their part of our road -- making it a better fire break -- we scavenged like mad beavers. Sadly, most of that wood has now gone up the chimney. But there is lots of beetle-kill.
