Suddenly, a Bear
There we were, peacefully watching Breaking Bad on DVD at dusk when the dogs alerted and raced out into the backdoor dog run. This bear was a short distance away. It was the first bear that we had actually seen all summer.
Last night, someone ursine picked up an unopened bag of potting soil that was under the veranda, carried out onto the grass, and ripped into it before figuring out that it was not dog food.

That looks like a pretty big, healthy, bear. "Breaking Bad" is pretty good, at least through the first season.
Big, healthy, and a regular visitor now, I think.
